Symphony Volunteer Council Representatives now on the Alabama Symphony Endowment Board

We are pleased to annouce that Pedro (Pete) Verdu and Phyllis Day Davis have just been appointed to represent the SVC on the Endowment Fund Board.  Both are Highly qualified and will serve us very well.  

Pedro (Pete) Verdu, DVA, received his MBA in Finance from the Univeristy of Connecticut.  Through his career, he held various positions as a financial analyst, bank officer, investment officer, and served as Senior Vice President of AmSouth Bank in Birmingham from 1988-2001. Pete was most recently employed from 2001-2015 as a Graduate Faculty member at the University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa, teaching a graduate course in portfolio management. 

Phyllis Day Davis received her BS from Auburn University and was one of the Top 40 Gradutes of 40 years at the Auburn College of Business.  She received her MBA from Vanderbilt University.  Phyllis was an Accounting Officer at Southtrust Corporation from 1971-1979. She then joined Vulcan Materials Company where she was employed from 1979-2008 serving as Director of Mergers and Acquisitions, Controller of the Southern & Gulf Coast Division as well as other postions during her tenure with the company.
